Introductions and Some Fun Facts

Some newcomers have joined us here on the blog as well as on our podcast, so I thought we would take a post to help get acquainted a bit.

Welcome

New here? Let’s have some introductions. My name is Steve, the scrivener of these here missives (and owner of a well-worn thesaurus), and my wife and I are the hosts of The BC Messenger podcast.

Jennifer and I have worked as a team in many areas for over 24 years of marriage. One thing we surely never expected to do was host a podcast together, but here we are. (And it really is a lot of fun!) We are here in order to communicate the research findings of Jennifer’s father, research scientist and Bible-believing Christian, Dr. Gerald Aardsma, who has worked for decades at the interface of science and the Bible.

A family trip to Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin a couple of summers ago. A peaceful photo, and yet, children run amok on the other side of this camera 🙂

Science and the Bible, you ask? And how do those go together? Good question.

The Bible has been cast aside in our modern world, relegated to merely myth and legend. And this is more than just sad. It is devastating.

It’s time for that to change. In fact, the Bible is a treasure trove of ancient history. We make that statement (and this may come as a surprise to some) because it can be demonstrated, over and over, by real-world data.

Our byline is “Real science, real Bible, real history, real world.” Every month we sit behind our podcast microphones in order that we might reach into your life, empowering you with information you will not hear anywhere else. You will be amazed (as we also have been, at times!) at the unexpected territory Bible/science research will get you into.
