At the very start of this podcast, you’ll hear a sound clip in which I went into a mode of being a bit passionate about what I was saying.
“But it’s not a blind faith! If it’s a blind faith, then you can just be whatever you want. All roads lead to God, right? You just pick your holy book, and go with that, and believe it by faith… we have to have something that separates truth from fairy-tale land.”
Jennifer and I get a little more “stirred up” during this podcast than perhaps any of the ones before it—for good reason. How can we as Christians stand by and allow the history of Christianity to be ridiculed and mocked, but not make any effort to show that the history of Christianity is… actually historical? (No, I’m not talking about finding a fish fossil on top of a mountain somewhere.)
Real floods have real dates, and they happen in real ways. They leave real evidence behind that dates to the correct time period. For an event of such massive proportions as Noah’s Flood, it should not be difficult to find it on the historical timeline (if it really happened in history).
If Noah’s Flood was a real flood (not a “spiritual truth” flood that happened a long time ago in a land far, far away) then we must get busy. If Christianity is a history-based religion, we must, with modern tools of discovery, be able to anchor events such as Noah’s Flood to the real world. The real answers to the very real questions need to get out there.
The latter portion of the podcast includes an interview with a 99 year old lady who is the oldest known person to supplement the newly discovered anti-aging vitamins on a daily basis. She’s quite amazing!
I hope you’ll listen in, be challenged, and be blessed.
